Ralph Hayden Richardson, Jr., age 90, of Gun Barrel City, departed this life for his heavenly home on Monday, the 4th day of February, 2019 at Trucare Living Centers in Palestine. In an interview he said: ''There are lots of reasons why people become actors. Richardson projected a personality unique in the British theatre, one that was charming and refined, but also mischievous and capable of hinting at sinister or tragic depths in the characters he played. But, he said, he mistook actors' footsteps for the tapping sound of his cue and banged the air raid sounds long before the proper time. He is survived by his three children, Randy Richardson, wife Sheila, Keith Richardson, wife Naomi, and Lisa Huffman, husband Todd; six grandkids, Amber and Heather, Josh and Brandon, Cody and Macy; four great grandkids Cooper and Harper, Cheyanne and Hazel; two step grandkids, Stephanie and Ashley; five step great grandkids, Hayleigh, Mikey and Lucy, and Charley and Amelia; his brother, James A. and Esther S. Richardson, both deceased. Together they traveled the world in search of the best snorkeling beaches, relished the theater, played community tennis and cross country skied when the weather allowed.
